Replacing Mem-Cal/Cam Sensor?
Hello. I've got a 1990 88 w/ almost 40k on the engine. I've recently rebuilt the front end after a wreck and i've been trying to fix all the bugs.
The "service engine soon" light was on, i had it checked at autozone and the error code said my O2 sensor was bad. I replaced it and my fuel economy went from 14mpg to about 19mpg. Unfortunately, it is still crappy MPG and the service light was still on, so i had the error codes checked again. Mem-cal sensor. What is it, what does it look like, and more importantly where is it in my motor? Other than plugs, wires, 02 sensor, fuel filter, what would help to improve my fuel economy back to it's pre-wreck 26MPG or so?

Re: Replacing Mem-Cal/Cam Sensor?
It is in the eng computer.
But post back the code no and we can help more. Also engine and trans and pcm no and the 4 digit prom id from scanner reading. Has the computer been switched or replaced? They had a lot of prom updates back then. MT
