Cool Finished - Lamborghini Gallardo (first one finished on A/F?)

Just wrapped up the Gallardo. I didn't do a progress thread; I let Kunta and Veyron handle the dirty work .

Mostly OOB, it's painted w/Cobra Colors Rosso Metis; a great color on the Gallardo, and it's especially nice since the pearl is so finely ground (seems common on the Lambo colors) the final finish almost looks like a candy color. This color really glows under strong light, especially sunlight. Rims are Aoshima 19" Volk Racing CE28's painted in Alclad Duraluminum. I had to Dremel out the rotor hats a bit to fit the wheel stubs that are slightly larger in diameter than those on the stock Fujimi rims, otherwise they're a direct fit and no further monkeying of the wheels/hubs was necessary. Who knows, I might put the Gallardo rims on a Murcielago... .

Interior is black and tan, same basic scheme as Kunta's blue/dark blue.

Everything fit fairly well (extremely well considering it's a Fujimi!), though I'd suggest NOT gluing the interior to the chassis because it makes final assembly a bit tricky. Glass is a bit tricky as well, a tight fit for all pieces requiring some sanding, and when I assembled it, the passenger side "popped" a bit at the top, resulting in a slight gap you can see in one of the pictures. Dunno if I want to take it apart or not...

Anyway, here are the pics:

Beautiful color! This is a very sexy car and those wheels make this thing completely bad ass.

LOL, thanks. Volk, Racing Hart, BBS...what's the difference?

I not only don't read the instructions, I don't read the box!

Re: Finished - Lamborghini Gallardo (first one finished on A/F?)

Another gorgeous build from you! Love the color and wheel choice is perfect for that car. Amazing work all around. Only one suggestion - you can see through the car between the spokes of the front wheels, through the fenderwells, and out the other side. If you stick a peice of black cardboard in there, done. Fantastic, though, freakin' awesome!
