just bought a j30, sunroof leaking problem, and electric fan conversion question.
i just bought a 1993 gold infiniti j30 with 120k miles on it. its the non T edition. i like the car so far. im pretty sure the sunroof rail overflow tubes leak on the passenger side. they may either be clogged or have holes. but during a heavy rain the rear passenger floor board takes on water sometimes almost 2 inches, the front passenger floor board becomes damp. their is about an inch of foam and carpet between the floor of the car and the top of the carpet so im sure the puddle is another inch under the carpet. this happens when the car is sitting so it cant be coming from underneath. and their is no sign of dripping because i have drove the car in the rain and i see nothing dripping and nothing is wet other then the floor boards on the passenger side.
also not a big problems just a question, i did an electric fan conversion to take out the stock mechanical driven fan with fan clutch because the fan clutch was bad. the car seems to want to wind rpms faster and will much easly goto 4k rpms before it shifts if you dont let off the gas, that is also if you give it a fair amount of gas. also the gear ratio seems different at highway speeds. before i think the engine did about 3k rpms at 90 mph now its more like 3k rpms at 80mph. anyone know what speed their car does at 3k rpm on the highway in overdrive or last gear so i can compair. thanks for reading -matt
