2002 ss w/190k

know a guy with a decked out 02 monte ss. its his buisness car, so its all highway. says its been in every three thousand miles and have had all things checked and fluids changed on time. he told me give him 3 grand and its mine. his company is getting him a truck. this is probaly a bad buy huh? i doubt i'll but it, but if i did, what would be some things to watch for or feel for? its runs real smooth, and shifts good. i have a 02 grand prix gt, are these about the same set up engine and tranny wise? it was night so i didnt get down and around. but the body is perfect and the interior is imaculant.
any help would be great.
