altenator pivot bolt??

Does anyone know how I can get the altenator pivot bolt out my B 2600, housing cover for the timing chain. It's a 4 cycl ( 1987) motor. Tried tapping with mallet(soft) small nail hammer, pry bar, someone must have a trick up their sleeve LOL. Thank you.
