Walked on a SRT-4!!!?

having fairly good weather yesterday i decided to break out the old el camino and run down and put gas in it why the prices were down (2.35, Premium) well i top it off and get back on the 2 mile stretch of highway heading home when i hear that god awful ricer buzzzz. and up beside pulls a blacked out neon SRT-4. I havent ran the Elk at the track yet but i know this guy is in my league. while i was thinking of whether i should run this guy he gets beside me, as soon as i look over he honks three fast times. i get a late jump but i quickly catch up and from a 55 to 85ish roll i have 2 cars on him. i coast at 80 trying to catch the light ahead. As he gets beside me attempting a fly-by the light goes yellow so we both brake. on the light i get the jump, it seems like i had a car before i got out of the intersection. i keep on it up to about 90 (speedo only goes to 85 and i dont want to break it) let off and coast . i cant even hardly see the guy. savoring the win i pull into a parking lot to turn around and head back and he buzzes in behind me. he flashes his lights so i stop and get out. I look at his car and something looks strange about it. it had 15" shitty chrome wheels. I looked at the scoop and on the plastic where it says 2.4L Turbo it just said SRT Design. I looked inside and it was an auto with that ugly ass fake carbon fiber trim and the ugly cloth. It didnt have an SRT Badge on it anywhere. It Had dual exhaust with 2 fart cans. I laughed my ass off and the guy thought ot was the shit. he talked alot of rice shit too. he said he modded it. it was the Mopar Stage 2 but not turbo. and he said he had a BOV but no turbo. he said quote "im waitin for some ricer who cant handle the power to wipe out so i can find a turbo for this baby in a salvage"
anyway, they have regular neons that look like the SRT-4's that dont put up much of a fight.
I laughed my ass on the way back home until i passed the gas station and realised i wasted like 5 bucks in gas on a regular neon.

Depending on what you have done an Srt-4 would of either romped on you or kept up. They are really good from a roll. They trap on the quarter 100-103mph so they got some umph. I have no idea what you have done to your El Camino. Those things are either pigs or built up monsters.

just an estimate, i dont have any numbers to back it up but from what i know, (quite a bit) i am putting close to 400 horse at the wheels. its a built 383 dart pro 2 heads, air gap intake and a holley 860. built to race turbo 350 with a 12 bolt 4.11 posi. it will shit and get. having driven an SRT-4 i truly believe it would be close. it feels like my dads truck acceleration and power wise and its a high 12's truck. i am going to run it and get a base line becasue here in the next month or so i will be dropping in a 468 BB with 740hp at the flywheel.

LOL with all that your def faster then a stock srt-4, def even faster then a slightly modded one.

the only thing i am going to change right now is it has Hooker Headers but dual 2 1/4 exhaust through 18" glass packs. im not a fan of the glass packs so i am running short 3" off the collectors and magnaflows and side sweeping in front of the wheels.
it has traction bars but i need to tub it because when i get on it WOT my tires hit on the fenderwells. i have some 6 way adjustable shocks going on it.

this thing is an absolute sleeper. the body isnt in perfect shape but it runs strong. i need to get a few things up to par before the BB goes in
