First of all, the digital volt meters can be decieving. They loop infinitely..
Start:
Clear Screen
Read Analog Data
Convert to Digital
Print to Screen
Wait - Could miss something.. The wait period is much long than the processing peroid.
Go to Start

So there might be a spike or something you're not seeing. I would re-test with a $10 analog volt meter.

That sensor doesn't explain the stalling, but... It does contribute to the air fuel mixture. But I don't know that much about the newer trucks (I love my simpler ODB-I systems) I am not sure if the engine is loosing so much power that the tranny just kills the motor.

I would however, recommend checking the plugs for a rich condition. This would indicate indefinately a bad sensor somewhere.

Grey deposits should be lean
minor grey should be about perfect
dry black powdery carbon should be rich
sludge on a 98 - shouldn't happen.
