Engine
I was wondering whether the engine on a Mark VIII was the same as a Mustang GT? I'm looking at tuner parts and wanted to know if the parts for Mustangs would fit that of a Mark VIII's engine?

Re: Engine
As far as I know, the only major thing that Ford did when they dropped the MarkVIII engine into the Mustang was to add a forged crank. I'm not certain whether they changed the cam grind.

Re: Engine
yes and no. They are based on the same modular motor. The main differance between the Mark VIII and GT is the VIII uses DOHC,compared to the SOHC GT. Essentially, its the same engine as the COBRA, but the VIII has softer internals.
