front end jumps out at higher speed

When I bought my 2001 v8 sport one of the critics reported that the front end will jump out if you hit a bump at around 60 or greater. Mine obviously does this. Does anyone else notice this? Did they ever fix this and can the fix be retrofitted to the 2001?

while holding the steering wheel, if you hit a bump, (moderate bump), the wheel will jerk to one side or the other. It can be a control issue if not expecting it. In 2001 when I bought my car, the critics on car point actulally noticed this problem. Its almost as if the two front wheels are tied to each other. Hope this clears it up a bit. Thanks for responding

Re: front end jumps out at higher speed

i feel something simila when turning from one street which has R/R tracks on it. I feel the wheel get away a little bit.

Other than than one street I have not had it happen any where else. It is quite noticable though and everytime it occurs I kind of worry that I am going to loose track and hit on coming traffic.

Thats the feeling. I just wanted to make sure I'm not the only one. There is a place on I40 near where Iive. The right tire hits some ridges but the whole steering wheel goes to one side or the other and you better have two hand on the wheel. Nice talking to you

Re: front end jumps out at higher speed

I need help with this same issue. I'm not going at high rates of speed and when I hit a bump it causes my vehicle to swirve to the right or left, kinda scarey - any Ideas on what's causing this and will it be simple to repair? Please help
