power window

Has anyone experienced this before. My window will only go down about half way then stop and then if i wait a minute it will go down further. It does the same on the way up as well. So assume it is the motor that need replacing, has anyone replaced there lift motor? Any tips on this job.

Re: power window

it is a hard job to do, but it is 100% do-able if you're decent with your hands. I did mine in about 2 hours. I know there was a post that showed a good way to do this job, i'll try to find it for you

Re: power window

A lot of people here have replaced them, and all said it's not worth paying a shop to do.

brass_monkey93 - thank you SOOOOO much for posting that link. My wife has a 94 Camaro and the WM went out. I was prepared (and hating the thought of) to remove the glass / window track and all the door guts to replace this thing - I was also planning on drilling the rivets that hold the bracket on the door.

That link save me TONS of time and trouble. Replacing the WM by those instructions was cake, total cake.
