4G63 Swap

I am looking to do a 4G63 turbo engine/tranny swap in my 96 Eclipse GS. It currently holds a 420A engine. What all do I need for this to work? Plus if i get a an AWD tranny then what do I need to do for my drivetrain? Last question, where is a good place to get the parts? Thanks guys.

What engine can I swap into my GS/RS ? - ashah000

The only engine that can be directly swaped is the one that is in there right now (the 420a).
You can swap a GS-T engine into the car but it would be extremely difficult and costly.

Here are the costs (from 2gnt)
1. 4G63 turbo engine (stock) $1500
2. transmission (stock GS-T FWD) $500
3. wiring harness for engine $300
4. 4G63 ECU (stock) $300
5. shift linkage $200
6. custom engine mounts $200
7. chassis cross member $100
8. complete exhaust $200
9. intercooler, turbo, related parts $500
10. boost gauge/fuel filter, etc $300
11. Installation $1500
Total - $5600

Well im doing the swap as well, and gettin a used 6bolt for about 1200 with used tranny for 300,.

But I have a 4g64 which is the n/t spyder. So the total for me is going to be a tad bit cheaper. Which makes me a happier guy. Those were the averages from back then now things have gone down in price.

go to soko.com i got a 6 bolt 4g63t for 1200 from japan.the said it had around 35k on it, but no more than 50k.

its just amazing how much development went in to the internet, and how you can just get on it and contact almost the entire world with but a click of a mouse. Lives have been touched, marriges have came to being, huge problems that have bothered mankind for more than a century have been solved thanks to this wonderfull invention. all so we can say the phrase SEARCH THE F**KING FAQ. My god how many bold red words IMPORTANT! did you see when you came in. I don't see how the mods on here can come in here see these same questions and not stick the ban boot out to everyone of them. So I bow to you EclipseRST and JOE you truly can take more shit than anyone in here. I now I would've screamed and thrown my screen in to the barrel of one of those damn pumpkin chunkin gun's by now.
