Question 97 Jimmy Lift

I want to lift my wife's 97 Jimmy. I think I've settled on the 5" Trailmaster suspension kit. Is this a wise choice? They claim to keep drive component angles within factory limits. Is this true? I only need a couple more inches and I want to ride on 32" tires. I understand there is some frame cutting(?) involved as well as exhaust modification, although I am curious to what extent. I'm going to the shop this week and I'm just trying to educate myself before I go. Appreciate any info or experiences relating to this issue. Also alternative ideas. Thanks
