I've finally caught my unicorn..
I've you remember the scene in Gone In 60 Seconds (With Nicholas Cage), where Eleanor gets shwon for the first time, he refers to Eleanor as his Unicorn. The one guys asks what a "Unicorn" is, and in this scenario its described as "catching the uncatchable" basically.
I've been chasing this model for...since I can remember. Its a shame Revell never re-relased it. I just got it for $17. So, whats your "Unicorn?" (Thanx to bluebaja for showing me this ebay link..)

You lucky bastard! I have been looking everywhere for a MarkVII model and hopefully one will pop up on Ebay soon and I can finally win it. I had to get rid of my 1989 Mark just a couple of months ago.

Re: I've finally caught my unicorn..
if you are going to build it 'stock' i'll gladly buy the pro street items from you
![]() I dont really have a unicorn. i guess its probably because i just got back into modelling full force. i pickup whatever kit is local and cheap. I have been outbid on a lot of things, but thats just because of my limited budget. i could have won them, but that meant buying that one kit instead of 2 cheaper kits. |

Hey,
Welcome dude. Howbout helpin me find U.S. sellers for a G Wagon or BMW M Coupe? lol. I'm glad I helped you out. It's a fun kit. Suspension is a little tricky, but I'm sure you'll have no problem. Frank X. |

I have four unicorns, actually. The shameful part is that at one point or another my father and I sold one of these kits back when we were wheeling and dealing on eBay.
#1 - Protar 1:24th scale Ferrari 250GTO. We had two different issues of this kit, and I remember just dying over the metal transfers and accurate opening doors. It was the first time I was ever genuinely not envious of my dad's Gunze Sangyo full detail 250GTO. #2 - Union 1:25th scale Mecom Lola T-70 Spyder. This little car was so pretty and the kit was clean and detailed (even though it was an IMC reissue). I've never found another one on eBay and selling the one we had haunts me to this day. #3 - AMT/Ertl 1:25th scale Sunbeam Tiger MkII. The other little British sports car with a Ford 289ci V8, the Tiger was just such an awesome car plus the AMT/Ertl kit came with kick-ass Minilites and SCCA Production style fender flares. #4 - Revell 1:25th scale Mickey Thompson Challenger. The first car to crack 400mph, and it did it with 4 blown Pontiac 421SD engines. Revell did their kit of the car in the 60's and it's always been my absolute favorite land speed record car. The real bummer is that it was reissued in a set with the TV Tommy Ivo "Showboat" 4wd four engine dragster which is another ungodly awesome car.

For a looong time, it was Fujimi's F355. Finally found one in Germany (wasn't going to pay what they were going for on Ebay!). Then, of course, they reissued it.
Now, It is without a doubt Fujimi's 1/24 288 GTO. Jeez, and I thought the 355 was hard to come by. Sooner or later, I'll catch one. Say, 10 months before Fujimi reissues it....
