Dumping oil/fluids

Is it ok to dump oil and fluids into the sewers? It's pretty much the same thing if i flush it down the toilet right?

i pour mine in 2 liter bottles and dump them in the trash.

Take them to autozone there guys... they can dispose of it for free ya know....

Sorry I live in Canada. Autozone does not exist up here. I think dumping them back in there original or empty bottle is the most logical thing to do.

go to a dump,they usually have something there to take oil. i know over here they have a oil pick up once every 3 months or so

oh and dont dump them down the sewer or drain them on the ground. very hazardous to drinking water

well I"m in canada as well, and believe it or not I can not find a place any where in my city that will dispose of them without paying.. its stupid

its not okay to dump in the sewers,,, i thought this was a joke when first reading. I think they went over that in elementary school with enviromental videos.

damn down here any garage/gas station/auto parts store that sells oil is required by law to accept used oil for free to be disposed of properly.

I didn't say I dumped it down the sewers or drains, I do pay to have them take to, I was just pointing out that its stupid to have to pay for it
