HELP...Wired noise from rear end...????
Hi i just got a 84 4runner with a 7mgte swap and some other modes (lift... 37in tires) any ways i have been driving it for a while like 1000 miles no problem, so i stop pick up a friend and start to go up the street and then i hear this horable noise like a cliking or clunk, so we pollover and get out, i could not see any thing rong under the car, so i tell my friend to drive a few feet and i see were the drive shaft and the rear end meet it kinda jumps and makes an nastiy noise right were they meet as he goes forward. If u have any help or advice please post i really am stumpt
87 1jz supra 84 4runner 7mgte lifted...

With a lift kit and problem as you describe I'd check out the universal joints. IMHO lift kits put a strain on U joints by changing geometry.
