radio question

I have a 1997 dodge ram. I am wanting to swap my stock radio for a stock cd player? What year models will fit my truck?

I don't have an answer to your question, but I do have an opinion. I also have a 97 Dodge Ram, and I personally wouldn't go with a factory cd player. You can get better quality and sound from your other brands like Pioneer(which I picked up at Wal-Mart for $120.00). They also have the adapter kits for the Ram. You'll need the faceplate kit, and a wiring harness kit that has the factory Ram plugs. They come with instructions and it's fairly simple really as long as you have some wire splicers and some electrical but connectors. I think it took me like a max time of 30 minutes to take out my factory radio and install the new Pioneer. Sorry if that's not what you were looking for, but that's my 2 cents.

Re: radio question

most all dodge stereos will bolt in your truck. the grand cherrokee's and some of the cars use the same size radios but they mount differently and use a factory amp. i think most any late 90s and up dodge truck stereo should bolt right in and work fine if you want to keep it all stock if not you might price aftermarket cd players like bigkane suggested.
