Re: speed bumps

Go over them slowly and at an angle, 1 tire at a time.

How much is it lowered?

How can you type something like that and not answer your own question?

Yes. Yes you can do something about it. Hire gnomes.

Magical gnomes, with Very Small Jackhammers, to remove the offending speedbumps in the middle of the night.

You could also just avoid them, or lift the car to something reasonable, or install an air system so you can lift and lower the car when you want to.

I vote for the gnomes.

there are a few things you could do. depending how it's lowered you could just simply raise the ride height or you will need new springs and maybe new struts if they are the stock ones now.

Back to my orginal question - HOW MUCH IS IT LOWERED? WHAT METHOD WAS USED TO LOWER IT?
Lowering springs with aftermarket or stock struts
Coilover sleeves with aftermarket or stock struts
True coilovers

Those are the 3 main options. It could have been a butch who owned the before and cut the springs, but what the hell I can't see the car.

Re: speed bumps

FYI my story from last week...
Backround my car is slammed on 15's 2 1/2 in drop

SO I was pulling into the DMV parking lot to renew my license and I pull in the lot rather quick at least 15 20 miles and hour. Didnt see a speed bump there hit it at that speed and ripped my cat and exhaust piping right out from under my car. I looked like the biggest idiot, cause well I am..But point being be carefull cause this endevor ended up costing 600$ =( . But its a funny story.

Re: speed bumps

only funny if it wasn't you who did it :P

and at that speed, hitting a speed bump will damage many cars at stock ride height too, so your car isn't necessarily too low... although personally i think a 2 1/2" drop is stupid low on a civic.
