Re: boost leak..
You need to make yourself a boost leak tester..
www.vfaq.com has the plans to make one... One thing that probably doesn't help is if you have the 2gen BOV...they suck! Go from turbo to throttle body and check ALL pipe connections/hose clamps... The only way to find where a boost leak is, is if you pressurize the intake system and listen for leaks... Checking your plugs gaps doesn't hurt also... Some good plugs to go with are the NGK BPR7ES and gap them at .027.... DO A SEARCH for boost leaks... this topic has been covered many times... I to had posted about possible leaks when I was a noob.... As for the stock turbo...I believe the most you really want to boost at is 15psi otherwise the turbo is getting worked TOO hard....

Re: boost leak..
Did this problem accurred b4 or after you did your custom exhaust? Remove the throttle body elbow and the hose from there on, also the L hose (where bov sits on) and last, remove the J pipe/hose going from turbo into intercooler. Clean and look for holes on those hoses/pipes. Remember to clamp them real hard when u reinstall them. This should fix your problem. I had the same problem when i installed my *S* pipe from dejontool, found out it wasnt clamped all way.

Re: boost leak..
If you can't find the boost leak, check for ignition problems--spark plugs, plug wires, etc.
