Camshaft Question
Hey, my buddy is going to give me an awesome deal on a camshaft, cam gear and spark plug wires, but i don't know which is going ot fit. It's all out of his 1991 crx si, and i have a 1995 honda civic dx. If anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated...he only wants $200 canadian for all of it. He blew the block so it's all good. Thanks a lot.

The wires might fit but nothing else will.

well./.i'm pretty sure the cam gear will fit, 88-85 should all have the same...thta's why i'm wondering about the cam shaft....

The cam gear will not fit. Just look at a place that sells cam gears for both cars and I guarantee they will have different part numbers.

The cam gears from a 4th gen civ and crx will both fit a 5th gen. From www.aempower.com:
CRX 1988-91 D15/D16 SOHC 23-600 Civic 1988-95 D15/D16 SOHC 23-600

According to Crane: http://www.cranecams.com/import/hondacamsns.htm
The camshafts are the same or close enough. And According to MSD: http://www.lightningmotorsports.com/msd_wires.htm The wires are the same.
