TB Mileage

All of a sudden my 03 TB's gas mileage has dropped off by 10 to 15%.

I've got about 40k on it and it was averaging 16 city and 22-23 road.
Now I see a significant drop in both.

I'm hesitant to have it looked at until I know a little more, ie, I don't want to spend $ unless I'm fairly sure I'll get an appreciable return.

Anyone had this same situation???? Is it correctable by the dealer?

What condition is your air filter in? A dirty one can do that to mileage.

Are your tires underinflated?

Have you replaced your fuel filter lately?

Have you ever run any fuel injector/system cleaner through your tank?

Just a few suggestions.

03 TB mileage.

Around 22k miles, my mileage fell from 18 to 15 mpg. I replaced my air filter, fuel filter, and finally, the spark plugs (the plugs had been running "hot" due to a lean condititon). Still no improvement. I brought it to 2 different dealers. The first said they found no codes and therefore, nothing wrong. The second found the same thing, but reflashed the computer. My mileage is better. I'm only on the second tank since repairs were done.

Thumbs up

Mileage improved after dealer reflashed computer. Last fillup showed 17.8 mpg after a low of 15.2. Performance is better as well: not shifting out of OD as often.
