Exclamation 2001 Mercury Cougar ZN problem

I have a 01 Mercury Cougar ZN. I installed brand new horns about 6 months ago. All of a sudden the horns stop working. I checked all the wiring. There is still current going to the horns. When I activate and Deactivate the alarm the horn sounds off and works normal, But when I press the horn from the steering wheel it doesn't want to work. I checked all the fuses and relays and there all working.Does any1 know what the problem is. and does any1 know what type of screw driver will take out the screws to the horn/airbag. It doesnt look like torgue screws, phillips, flat head, or an allan. It looks like a triangle shaped head. Help please.

Re: 2001 Mercury Cougar ZN problem

Get a Haynes or Chiltons manual. You will need to disable the airbag FIRST. Failure to do so can cause serious injury. You will need to go to a tool supply to get the driver for the screws you see.
