93 Metro Front Brakes

Hi. is there supposed to be clips holding the inboard brake pads to the caliper? Mine are just sitting there rubbing against the rotor. The outside ones have a clip. Thanks!

Re: 93 Metro Front Brakes

Should be a 3 prong clip that snaps tot the back of the pad. I think most people end up leaving them out thinking they do not need them and the result is clunking pads and abnormal wear due to the pad flopping around and rubbing against the rotor. You should be able to get new clip kits from the parts store but the last time I look for a set, they wanted more than I wanted to pay so I went to the yard and grabbed a bunch of spares.
