How are the '93 190E/2.6? Looking at buying...

Any prevalent issues with the last model year 190E? Looking at a '93 with 2.6 engine and 132K miles. What's the big maintenance cost items that may be around the corner on this - valve jobs, trans???

Car checks out OK on CarFax and I'll find out about maintenance records - looks like it's had 2 or 3 owners so unlikely that I'll find much in the way of recs. How's this engine for oil consumption? I have an '83 300D that has 318K miles on it and leaks oil like no tomorrow - but incredibly still doesn't burn any. I've heard that all MB's leak oil, not just the diesels.

How's the safety rating of the 190E - can't find any reports - seems like they didn't start standardizing on safety tests until mid '90s. I'm looking for a first car for girl teen driver so want a tank that's not too big.
