throttle body and intake manifold?

have a 98 gsr and already have greddy intake, headers, and exhaust. i either want to buy an edelbrock 65 mm throttle body or intake manifold. just wondering which would give better gains or if either is worth the it

the intake manifold would yeild better gains , but is pretty expensive. you would be better off spending the money somewhere else.

im pretty sure im going to do both, do i need to change fuel management or anything, i will have headers, intake, exhaust, manifold, and throttle body done and wasnt sure if fuel management was something i should be looking at. also planning on cams in the future, would i have have to change the fuel management then if not now?

Re: throttle body and intake manifold?

I would wait until you install the cams to do anything like Hondata etc.

Re: throttle body and intake manifold?

on your engine go with the str 70mm throttle body with skunk2 intake manifold. go with civic type r intake cam and integra type r exhaust cam. as well a s performance springs and lightweight retainers...then go with hondata....if you get get the hondata you wont need to get the vtec control

Re: throttle body and intake manifold?

the throttle bosy will cost probably bout $300 and the manifold a lil over $300.....the cams and springs and retainers at least $1000 and hondata maybe close to $500(?).

Re: throttle body and intake manifold?

Personally I'd never use a supercharger. Turbo if any FI.
