Engine braking during cruise control
I can't stand my cruise control when going down hill .... in order to stay within the speed range ... the car will brake the engine and take away the free momentum of gasless down hill.
I can't find my owners manual ... does anyone know how to turn that engine braking feature off? |

Re: Engine braking during cruise control
err... I could be wrong, but i don't think that is a "feature"... i think it is just normal operation, in or out of cruise control. "engine breaking" should be equivalent to letting your foot off of the gas pedal on a down hill, and if you are experiencing it, then you are saving gas...

Does anyone have a 2004 seabring manual handy that can check for me? My dealership is not too sharp when it comes to things like this.
