Idleing, heating, and other problems on my 1991 Base Stealth.

Okay heres the deal. My car heats up after a while of running. When its warm(not heated) and i go from Park to Drive, It will loose power. When the car is cold and turned on sometimes it will take a while(3-5 secs) to start. Also when it does turn on it will idle really high like 2500. When its warm it idles fine(until you shift into drive or reverse, it will drope down below 1000 and sometimes turn off). Please help a 16 year old kid that bought his first car of his own sweat cleaning yards. Ha...no joke. Thanks

Check your radiator to make sure its full. Also make sure the fan is kicking on. For the idle issues its your IAC. It either needs cleaned or repalced.

well fan is kicking in...radiator is full...i think im going to take it to the mechanic..cleaned out the iac..it was pretty clean. Well im getting my 300 dollar check on tuesday...hope that will take care of the problem. I still need to but tires with some nice looking rims. By the way, i have some rims that where too heavy for the Stealth. I belive they are 17's. Marxx. Ill email pics if ur intrested. Anyways..hope i can fix my car cheap.
