hi guys just had a question i need some feed back...i am a victim of bad sr20det dealer, in january of 2003 bougth an sr20det fom a shop called TRT here in nyc, they said they will install and i need not worry, well that was just the beggining one month later my car had no ka motor and and didnt have the sr on yet well two months after they told that they were going to move the car to another shop of a " great friend" because the old mechanic couldn't get an s13 in a s14, and the "great friend" had done seven, mind you i paidthe old mechanic 600.00 for and automatic to stick conversion; well ok i was desperete and they moved the car , TRT told me give me a month and ill call you once the car is done, i said ok; i would call him from time to time to ask about the car he would say its almost ready, one day i called trt and they gave the # to the shop which had the car i called them and he told that the car was dropped off and trt never brought the missing parts and they didnt know who to call about the car...anyway to make this very long story shor; the motor was bad i hassle trt for a replacement i paid shipping got another blown motor i lost all that money...i made a few calls and found out about ctune in cali fomerly cartune/neishlin...i heard that they were really good but i am scare, ordered a motor only replacement(hard to find motor only) from ctune can any one give me some feedback on ctune....

it sounds like it you are getting your ass ripped off. Are you going to get your money back for it? Ive never heard of that place, but i dont really know of places to buy an SR. Good luck with everything.

i was only able to get 500.00 from the origanal place that sold me the motors i still lost over 1700....

two different shops sitting there since i drove it, lets see i even have kids now; when i had my car i was a bachelor its been that long.....it really sucks and it ticks me off when i start thinking about it, i would've kknown i woul've left my 60,000 miles brand new ka which was running great..

thats it, only 60K??? do you still have the engine? id be glad to take it off your hands. you should have just boosted your stock block, with that low of miles, as long as it was running good.

i wish i had it; i had no place to store it so i just gave it away....it was really sweet brand spanking new just like the car, it use to be own by an older women....what ever thats old news know i hope this new motor gets the job done and i could move on.

geez... that is pretty careless of them to do such a thing. But it'll be hard to file a lawsuit wouldn't it? i mean it is illegal in the first place... ah anyway, hope for the best man...

this'll be a good thread on dependable dealers for sr's... good information for us "to-be-sr's"

If you want a good SR20 buy From

Phase2motortrend.com or SRSwap.com everyone esle is hit or miss.

I got my Redtop from Phase2 and so far its run like a charm.

Benson Tsu says good thingas about Cartune but SRswap and Phase2 are the only ones I trust.

I agree with R.W240. Big name companies are more reliable.
