Angry newby needs help--ecu code

I have a 99 intrigue w/ a 3.8L engine. It has had the "service engine soon" light on forever, so I bought a scanner--ya, an actron, and it kicks out the code p1676--aux input, aux output--well I look up the code and get the results "driver 4 line 6"
Can anyone out there clue me in to what they're pointing at?

Also, does anyone know the location of evaporative emmisions canister is at on one of these cars? The manual says drivers side front, under the air cleaner/ ecm box. I pull this out and viola' not there--of course!!!!

Thanks

Copy and past your ? on the intrigue site. Someone will answer you. Search the Intrigue site for the code, someone might have asked about the code in the past. Dave

Hey Dave, Thanks

I was able to get the problem solved. It turns out that a mouse built a nest under the beauty cover a couple of years ago, well the wiring got corroded and the purge solenoid wasn't working. Once I figure that out, and made a sealed repair on it, the problem was solved

Thanks again,
Ted
