Boa remote start/keyless entry
Hey guys I need your help again. I wnat to put on a remote start and keyless entry on my 97 jimmy 4x4. I have found a Boa 265 system pretty cheap. Is this a good system???? Is it as easy to install as they say it is????

i installed a designtech two way remote start/alarm/keyless entry on my 98 jimmy but it refuses to program correctly and their customer service sucks. so i bought a bulldog remote start from walmart and i plan on installing it this weekend. with both of the remote starts i need a bypass module which i also bought at walmart. i'm not sure if your jimmy needs a bypass module or not (you can probably find out at www.bulldogsecurity.com), but mine was under $20. didnt make the install any easier or harder, just a bit longer.
as far as the brand goes, i think it's on the same level as bulldog. a friend of mine installed a $15 (it was on clearance from around $50) bulldog on his 99 jeep cherokee and it worked better (as in, from a farther distance) than my other friend's $600 compustar in his 97 dodge 1500. i hope that helped in one abstract way or another

Re: Boa remote start/keyless entry
I HIGHLY recommend you buy a system and have a shop install it properly.
Seeing you can do some major electrical damage to your engine and computer, I would leave it up to the pros.

Re: Boa remote start/keyless entry
Ditto above. I'm a DEI dealer and will say that the BOA line sucks. If you really have to do it yourself, get the Rattler, Hornet, or Valet line.
