Different intakes.
I've been hearing and reading a lot about cold air intakes (CAI) and warm air intakes (WAI). What's the big difference between the two and which is better? Just a few questions to be answered so it doens't leave me wondering.

Re: Different intakes.
difference: one draws air from outside the engine compartment, one draws air from inside the engine compartment. no such thing as better, depends on the application. warm air intakes have much less piping to go through (less resistance) but pull warm air. cold air have much more pipe to go through but its cold air. personal preference is warm air, no chance of sucking up water or anything on a stiff puddle.

Really depends on the environment you are in. There is no real difference between WAI and CAI. They produce around the same gains.

Re: Different intakes.
One is also louder than another. Warm air's filter is quite close to you as the driver and you can hear it sucking the air in and somtimes i find it annoying. But i got my CA extension in my closet waiting for a nice day to go in.
