Question Truck makes a clunking noise...

My truck makes a clunking noise when I go around corners, or go over some sort of bump. It just started doing it, and it sounds like it's coming from the middle of my truck bed. I've never had my shocks checked, and someone thought it might be that, but I'm worried. My regular mechanic doesn't work on stuff like this. What could it be, and where should I go to have it checked?
Thanks!

I know this might sound funny but the best place to take a problem like yours is to take the truck to a body shop and see if they can check out the problem for you. they see this kind of thing on a regular basis because they fix body work and know where noises come from and how to find them. GOOD LUCK !!!

Re: Re: Truck makes a clunking noise...

The torsion bars can make a loud "popping" type noise which would come from the middle of the vehicle. Usually removing them and greasing the splines will take care of the noise if that is whats causing it.
