srt-4 VS. mini cooper s

ok i'll try t be quikc about it.

last night i was hanging out withe my bro and some friends of mine and a dude with a cooper S showed up and he started to bash at my brother that his mini could take my bro's STI and my bro was ignoring him.

so we decided to go to the steak and shake across town and we were all tailing each other the mini, a 93 del sol, a toyota celica 01, me and my bro

and me and the cooper line up at a light and i notice im in a merge lane and i hear the mini rev at me and prep for a launch me and my buddy were like damn im out of space ehh fuck it ill show him.

so we go for it and when i reach the top of 3 i shut off and i look over to my right and we put a car on him.

so we reach the stake and shake and he starts talking ohh my cluch was slipping if not i would have killed you.

later in the night the guy with the del sol asked him what year and when he got the mini
"yeah my mom got it a week ago its an 05 " then the guy with the del sol said: "how is your cluch slipping if the car is a week old ? that means either your mom cant drive or just are just to ashamed to admit you got beat by a neon?"
right away he blamed it on his mom.
and as we left he tryed my bro again and my bro says man wasnt your clutch slipping?

we all just pointed and laughed

no shame in loseing to a srt-4 its more then a neon..

i still like mini's tho their soo cute..

He's just a ricer. And mommy bought his car, it's a week old, clutch is slipping, and then there's all of a sudden no problem with it so he can race your bro's STi? Pathetic. The cooper S is like a supercharged go kart. Fairly quick, but I believe they only put out like 160-180 HP. If I remember correctly that is. But they are extremely light little cars which is good for their HP/Weight ratio. Anyway, good kill.

EDIT: Did some quick research and found out they run low 15's in the 1/4 and actually weight about 2600 lbs. Weighs more than my Civ, but has about 50 extra horses to go along with it. L8...

I have yet to see an SRT-4 go down to a mini cooper....I'm honestly surprised you only put one car on him, what gives?

I saw/heard this sweet Cooper S by my house in fremont that was turbocharged....not supercharged but honestly turbocharged. I heard the turbo spool up as it pulled away aggressively from a traffic light, and I heard the BOV as it shifted gears...cool stuff.

I think guys like that just need to get punched in the face. you gotta know who your messing with before you start talking shit. SRT-4>Mini Cooper S.

I had the same problem with a guy here in a stock 04 Civic EX 4door. he thought his car would spank Musashi cause mine is 11 years old. I was obliged to humble him.

oh and btw, beating a mini cooper is not a kill......its rape......its statutory rape.

yes the 2005-2006 (somewhere in there) models they changed it from a supercharger to a turbo. But it makes the exact same HP numbers.

Yeah mini cooper does not stand a chance against an Srt-4. Even a decently modded cooper. Unless your willing to do some motor work or turbo instead of super charged, good luck on keeping up. Good kill he got what he deserved.

mmm....I don't care but a turbo Cooper S would be great. An upgrated turbo and a nice FMIC...pushing maybe 230 hp to the wheels...that would be a blast.

At a car convention last year they demo'ed a pulley that ups the SC boost on the Mini so that the engine puts out about 230-240 hp. Watch out, some Mini C's might be packin'.

I had a mini try and race my vr4 a year or so ago...pretty quick, but definantly not uber-fast. Way to put the prick in his place.

Nice kill, the Cooper S never stood a chance....and the 05, 06 is turbocharged?? that seems so random and I hadn't heard of the update, either way I take Jaysons word...I wonder why they decided to do that

I've only had good experiences with Mini Cooper (S) guys from 2002 when it first came out...a kid in my school at the time had his moms everyday actually, and he didn't think it could stomp everyones car, and he was happy to take ppl for a spin
