z vs supra

hey all

drivin bak from uni into the city in 1 or my z's (79 280zx), wit a friend who has bout a mk4 supra n/a in recent months. Never had a chance to go for a cruz as yet so was fun.

raced a few times on the way twice from a roll and once from the lights.

both times from about 60kph he had me all the way but not by too much, however i got him off the line at the lights and pulled hard on him all the way to 80 where he started pulling on me we stopped at 100 due to traffic and he was bout 2 feet ahead.

all in all quite pleased with how the zx faired concidering it is basically a 26 year old car, with a smaller motor.

Re: z vs supra

haha it is one of my parts cars a stock 79 280zx auto n/a, 0-100 in like a week.
just was havin a laugh with a mate

thought it was cool that a z that was released in 79, competes with a modern classic to the extent it did.

im building the real car atm, rb26 driven Z, so should be cool once its finnished, cept the funds have dried up lately so its been put on hold for a bit.

So n/a automatics it is for a while boys!

Re: z vs supra

ahh i see you slept it off...yeah thats not too shabby for a 79...but i wouldn't call it keeping up w/ a modern classic unless it was the top model of w/e it was which would be the TT. Still good though.
