97 Explore sport.
Just bought an explorer sport 97, I noticed the air con blows hot when in ac mode and seems ok in MAX ac mode, Further examination indicates that when in PAnel mode 'AC is off" and all I get is lots of heat , IT looks like I have no control over the heat exchanger. The heat control knob does nothing. I believe this is pneumatic setup. any one know how its supposed to work??

My best guess is that you dont have any freon, thats why you have hot air and not cold.
And that you also need a complete A/C service done. Take ur car to a shop and spend the $50-80 or however much it costs and get your A/C fixed, especially if you live in CA, AZ,NV, FL, TX...or anyplace hot!!! Its worth it!!
