Engine Heat Shields?

I was wondering if anyone has a heat shield under their hood. I know mine doesn't, but I saw a pic of a hatch once that did, so that got me curious and I can't find anything on it.

Yea some do and there is prob one for your car someone just took it off though if you bought it used. It's not really needed, but if it's rusted i'd go ahead and get a header if you just don't want to look at the rust. You can get a decent price for some on ebay.

i believe he is talking about attached to the underside of the hood. every car comes factory w/ an exhaust manifold heat shield, and yes sum people have taken them off. as for the "heat shield" on the underside of the hood; pretty sure it's not a factory offered item on the 4gen civics, or any civic for that matter u could make one if u really wanted one, but since honda didn't put one on, it really isn't necessary.

yeah, But I swore I've seen several pics of hatches and even a 4-door with them on. I'll have to dig up those pics
