What are some cheap mods i can add to my alero. I would be interested in anything but especially something to help improve gas mileage, and make the appearance of the car a bit better. Thanks

We have a '02 Alero GL2 with 3.4 V6 and lightly modded. A simple mod that won't cost an arm & a leg is to replace the stock MAF (Mass Airflow) sensor with an aftermarket one. We put one on from Granatelli Performance. Cost was approx. $250.00. 30 minute job to replace it. You get in the seat of your pants improvement in acceleration and no loss of fuel economy per se.....sometimes its better. Might want to add a K&N direct replacement air filter ($50.00) or consider a CAI (Cold Air Intake).

Another mod would be to replace or re-program your ECM chip with a modified one from ASE, Jet, DHP etc. $250-$400. A hi-flow CAT convertor seems to make a difference. Cost $60.00 - $150.00 depending on brand.

Good luck!
