Battery drains overnight
Sup,
A few days ago the battery light came on, then the light would go away after I reached 2000+ RPM. The alternator is new and the battery is a gel cell. I have a system in my car, but even after taking the main powerfeed off the battery for the system, the battery still drains overnight. Also there is an alarm installed from the previous owner that does not work same with powe windows and fog lights. Maybe there is a short through all the mess of wires? Please help thanks. |

Re: Battery drains overnight
Have you done any interior mods lately? I had a problem once on my mustang when I removed a bunch of interior panels, did some stuff, then replaced the panels. I screwed through the dome light wire to the door causing it to ground. This caused the dome light to always be on. Took me forever to figure out where I screwed up. A lot of wires in the car are like this, always looking for a ground source before doing anything. I'd unhook the alarm, and any other after market mods, specifically stuff done recently. Never know, a terminal could have come loose and is now giving you headaces.
