A $300 kick

Last friday I replaced (or tried to) my headlights in my '93. Anyway, I got REALLY frustrated, and when I walked inside I stupidly gave the car a swift kick in the quarter panel. When I washed it a couple days later I saw the scratches. Took it to a body shop today and they're too deep to buff out. If I want them fixed, it's $300 to repaint the panel and blend it into the door. Anyone ever done something that dumb to their car before?

Re: A $300 kick

I usually kick/punch other things, not the car because it's too precious.....

Re: A $300 kick

Not the car...I tend to throw things...namely tools.

However when I was younger I used to bmx alot...and I had a few expensive bikes ($550 each) I stupidly let my brother ride one, he tried a jump and hit a mailbox (don't ask)...I got so frustrated that I threw the bike into brickwall...bent some more crap...ended up turning a $20 repair into a $150 worth of bent stuff.

If I were to throw the bike at anything, I'd have thrown it at your brother. LOL

That's funny. Just washed the car this morning, the scratches are less noticeable after thier 1 minute buffing (although definitely still there). I think I'll leave it now and see what happens. Maybe I'll just make sure the car's dirty all the time.

I usually beat my wife when I get pissed. j/k

actually I have kicked my car many times and yeah i've put a few dent in her. one time I punched the radio right into the the freaking dash board cause the volume button wouldnt work! the best one was actually on a computer. I had an old e-machine which sucked balls. I couldnt get it to play Mechworrior so my friend came over and tried fixing it for hours and the stupid thing kept on crashing. Finally told him to move out of the way, I took my Katana and impaled it into the tower. no more computer, no more problems.

This thread is hilarious. Having your bike get crashed into a mailbox and then throwing it into a brick wall. I guess my day has been crap because that brought tears to my eyes. Too funny.

Re: A $300 kick

LOL Masashi, that's crazy bro. Hehe Did your radio work after you knocked it in? I've kinda noticed that sometimes, the volume control on the radio doesn't really work either and so I end up having to use the one on the steering wheel.
