I have a 2001 SL2. Over the past few months I hear what sounds like metal-on-metal scraping in the area of the left front wheel. It is VERY sporadic and there is nothing specific about when or where it chimes in. It went away for a couple of months and started again when I was driving on the highway last week.
I am meticulous about maintaining my vehicle and it has new tires on the front (if that makes any difference). Would this be a brake or CV joint issue? Is it drivable? I will appreciate whatever you can suggest. |

Re: Front left wheel noise
Take a peak at the rotor(thru the wheel or pull it off) and see if is scored. Cv joints usually make a clicking sound when the steering is turned all the way right or leftand you are moving.
