Re: Cheap Lowering
If it's a standard they used to make a cheap kit that just pulled down on the sway bar. It wasn't a good way but it was cheap. I'm not sure if it's even still available.

The torsion spring adjusters are still available. About $30 bucks a set.
The beam must be dismantled, cut and the adjusters welded in place of the torsion spring lock stud. The other route (which I recommend over the adjusters) is a set of drop spindles (comes with disc brake conversion). You'll maintain front end geometry that way. About $350.00. |

I bought a lowering/raising kit about 18 years ago and never used it, I think it was called a select-a-drop but not sure. It is made of steel and has two "c" shaped flat pieces that are notched to weld to the beams, they have bolts that run through them horizonally and the bolts are drilled and have a long bolt that runs vertically through the two horzontal bolts. Now I never had any instructions so I don't have a clue as to how it's supposed to work. I would like to use it now as we've just restored my grannys "77 for my son, Has any one ever seen these and know how to install it? I'd be eternally gratefull for any help. bama

Re: Cheap Lowering
you could get drop spindles, that would lower them. or you could get an adjustable front beam (which would be the prefered way)
