Passenger Door Problem?????

A while back someone slammed a seatbelt in the pass. door really hard. Now the door is closing, but not the right way, its closing to where the door is alittle to high and is letting in water. Can you please tell me how to fix it? The tools and stuff that I will need?
Also, the hinges are fine, I think that the latcher thing that on the side of the door is part of the problem. Please help!!!

Re: Passenger Door Problem?????

Does the latch inset into the door have adjustment bolts? can you verify that as the door closes, the latch is causing it to slide upward?

One way to see where it is hitting is to paint the striker bolt with white-out or a similar substance. Then slowley close the door until it makes contact (but not shut) Do this to see where on the striker bolt the latch is hitting. It should be in the middle, not at the bottom.

Re: Passenger Door Problem?????

That would be a torx socket. they cost about $15 for a set of 6, or you can buy the one size.
