keyless remote
Dealer cost $140 cdn. remote for 1999 Montana. Is it possible to get one from somewhere else that will work with this van that is not overpriced?? Then they said $40-$50 to program, and they actually said if they have time to do it. Not impressed with Dealership at this time at all.
Thanks |

If you already have one remote just make sure the numbers match and you shouldn't have a problem. If you don't have one, you may have to do some research (I would have the VIN handy and call a few GM dealers to find the correct numbers on the remote). Programming is also easy. There are instructions available in the manual and in forums on the net (maybe even here ). If you need a manual you can get those on eBay too (printed) or register your van at mygmlink.com and get the PDF version.Let us know what you find. Take Care,

Thanks,
I just looked at e-bay and will decide over the next few days what to buy. I now see the instructions posted on the site for the programming. I am from Canada and need someone mailing to Canada or see if a friend has a post office box in the states, live in border town. Thanks again for the info. |

Go to www.remotesunlimited.com. I bought a replacement through them that was exactly the same as my original GM/delphi remote at a fraction of dealer price plus free programming instructions. They are in Texas, USA.
