Wheel bearing

When I went to get an alignment a few months ago the alignment shop told me that I might as well not align the fount end because the passenger side wheel bearing is bad and it will just get unaligned in a few days.
After a bolt fell out that held my control arm to my suspension came undone(WTF) I put in a new half-shaft and new control arm and now when I turn right it clicks loud and kind of jumps a little bit. If I turn left its just fine.

Two questions. First: How hard is it to change a wheel bearing?
Second: Is that jumping from the wheel bearing or shitty alignment?

Did you do the control arm or did you have the dealer do it under the recall? If you did it yourself you can make the dealer reimburse you for the parts.

Re: Wheel bearing

Well for the wheel baring i know on hondas you have to press them in and out. If you don't have access to a press then it may be cheeper to take the hub asem and take it down to a shop with the baring have them press the old one out and out the new one in. They will only charge you like 20 to 30$ for the job.

Re: Wheel bearing

There is a ball joint and lower control arm recall on almost all of the 2g's. Check www.alldata.com for your specific details. Anyway, you need to show them proof of payment for the work. Or a receipt for the purchase of the parts, if you did the work yourself.

When you get there tell them that you had to replace the lower ball joints and the lower control arm and you want reimbursed because of the recall. Give them your paperwork and they will send you a check.

Oh, and I'll take 10%......
