Mods. Just something aside. If u ban regs for stupid crap wasting bandwidth, why are those threads still here and the profiles???

Bandwidth is not currently an issue, so its simply easier to just lock a thread and let it drop off the page.

That way nobodys post count gets affected etc.

But if there are to many of these threads then they will be removed, and if they dosn't work then tempory bans for the duration of the investigation may be used.

Its nice to see your surport, and it is being considered, but please don't take it to far.


Under VB any number of differnt user profiles can be set up, I don't the details, but apprently how they are set up effects what happens to them when a member is banned.
At the moment when a regular member is banned they lose everything, and effectivly cease to exist.
When a mod is banned thier account remains, but they are unable to access it. It appears that things like Avatar and Signiture are deactivated, but the account and posting history etc, as well as the yellow stars remain.
But note that there are differnt types of moderating user accounts as well.
Igor has updated VB twice since AF started, and each time he does he creates new user accounts, so I imagine mine, which is one of the oldest has differnt settings to a new mod like Curtis73 who was made a regional mod just recently.
