Hello, I have a 89 accord, 5 speed, carb, lots of miles on it and it runs fine in the city. But when I try to drive anywhere far away, it dies. usually around 110kms after I start, the engine begines to miss, i end up holding the throttle wide open just to move at all. If I let it sit for a couple hours it will run beautifully again. Its done this several times. Ive changed the plugs, filters, cant see anything wrong. does anyone have any ideas what would be wrong?

hello again, is there a reason why rebuilding the carb would fix my problem? the car runs awsome in town... i was told by some people to change the fuel pump, but that doesnt make sense to me either. if the pump was dead, wouldnt the car not run at all? thanks again.
