Question about the Monsoon system

Hi
Im in the market for a really good head unit to replace the monsoon crappy head unit. I was wondering if the monsoon head unit is taken out i would have to replace the speakers the amps and the subs??? i was told this by someone i was wondering if this is true and if it is why??

IMO, I think the monsoon head unit is nice. Since it also works with the steering wheel controls, unlike aftermarket stereos. If my stock stereo had a cd player rather than the cassette, then I would have definately kept it in. But in regards to your question, the answer to all of that is no. All you have to do is pull it out, and throw in the new one. It's pretty simple, especially if you use a wiring harness like I did. Good luck let me know if you have any other questions.

With the proper install kit, everything will work just fine. You can also keep the steering wheel controls too.

Yeah I just didn't mention the steering wheel control adapter because mainly I'm just not too fond of it. I mean, having to drill a hole somewhere in my center console to fit the Infered Sensor as I've seen other people do with this setup, just doesn't appeal much to me.
