tokico hp vs. kyb gr2

whats up everybody. alright, so i took the state inspection today and i failed because my stock struts were too worn but weren't completely blown yet. i have arospeed coilover sleeves and i'm debating between kyb gr2 and tokico hp blue struts. i know that these aren't as good as tokico illuminas, kyb agx's, koni yellows, and so on. which would you choose and why? thanks in advance.

I would go with Tokico. In my experience, with DSMs at least, Tokico has outperformed and outlasted KYB by far. Tokico can also support your aftermarket coilovers better.

I have the Tokico Illumina setup on my Talon ESi and I love it. I would definitely choose Tokico over KYB.

i also heard that tokico is race-proven and kyb isn't but then again... i've never heard of any complaints about kyb gr2's.

Right.

The reason I bought the Tokico kit is because there were endless amounts of posts on the DSM boards about KYB suspension giving out all too soon. They may be good, but are not dependable in my experiences.

I currently use Tokico HP Blues on my 89 REX. No complaints whatsoever. They provide excellent handlig and a good ride.

Damn, I wish I could find the site I ordered my kit from. I could've sworn I saw a kit for a 4th gen Civic there too...they sold it to me for $250 less than the MSRP ($380 total after shipping), and it was shipped to my house in 4 days.
