squirrels in my ride

alright i got a 00 gtp and i really think that there are squirrels living in it. i park it in the garage and sometimes dont drive it for 4 or 5 days maybe even a week. there is firewood stacked up by where i park and it attracts those groundsquirrels. i first noticed the problem when i smelled something wierd burning after driving. looked under the hood to find a little nest on top of the sc and it smelled like squirrel shit, literally. i cleaned that up but lately, when i get in my car and start it, i here one or two or those little bastards squirrelin' around like in the dash!!!! plus my dog goes nuts around my car ever since i moved the wood pile out. i just wonder if ne one else has had the same problem or know how the hell they are getting in there. im about to call the xterminator.

My grandma had a similar problem on her 92 Bonneville. They ate away at wires and when she got it fixed, the mechanic told her to put moth balls underneath the hood and it seemed to fix the problem

Sorry man, but do you realize how funny that is? Sounds like the things cartoons are made of. Seriously though. Maybe you need to set up some traps in the garage so that you can catch the little buggers when they come out to feed. Any car that sits for long periods is at risk for some critter making it their home.

I was at a car show one and was looking at the interior of a Plymouth Superbird when all of a sudden, a mouse ran across the back seat and squeezed into the crease between the upper and lower cushions. I told the driver and he had this look like, "Not again."

BTW.....what does squirrel shit smell like??

I'm curious too. What does it even look like. I had squirrels living in the adjacent property back in Atlanta and never come across the stuff.
Do they eat or hoard the stuff? lol.

Regardless, looks like some rat poisoning is in order.

ill tell you guys what it smells like i dont know? shit? haha some kinda not good feces smell. when i got in my car today to move it out i heard those little bastards. i was like "fuckin A" man what am i going to do with those bastards. you know what else those little bastards made a little nest in the drainage under the windsheild so every time it rains it clogs up. plus there was a HUGE nest in the bottom of the factory airbox that i discovered when putting in the CAI. ill try some mothballs for now and see if that works. if not ill have to wait for summer for those guys to find a new home. it just sucks knowing that their in there when i got girls in the car n shit, and knowing that their there for wherever i go and whatever i have to do.
