Question Bronco tailgate

I am about to spend a sizeable amount having my '93 bronco repainted. Has anyone used an aftermarket tailgate for a '93-'96 bronco and painted it and had it fit with good results? If so where did you get it?

Re: Bronco tailgate

Hey, I have a pretty beat up tailgate myself and have seen replacement gates at the bronco graveyard. I am holding back on replacing it, because the replacements don't come with internal parts. It will be a pain in the butt removing things from the old one and moving them to the new one. I think the best choice is to find a clean replacement OEM from a salvage yard. They might be hard to find.

Tailgate

It is also a REALLY good idea to "rhino coat" the inside of the gate, just be sure to leave a couple of drain holes in the bottom. This will majorly help with the rusting out problem.
