200hp zc?

i met this guythat had a crx with a turboed zc in it. he said it was completely stock except for the turbo running 12 psi. he said he was running atleast 200 hp? does this sound right? just wondering if hes bullshitting me or if i should try to race him in the future lmao

There are people that are getting more than that out of stock bottom end ZCs. I made 160HP on 8 lbs of boost, so 200 is not too far off for 12lbs of boost.

cool cool i was gunna go zc, but i heard parts are hard to find. and turboed engines can break easily right? i wnated something potent and reliable so i decided on B16

if it really is a stock bottom end, thats about as much as it can take. the rods can only handle ~200hp and 8000rpm

i just say let them boost to whatever...your not the one to suffer if they scatter there motor from to much boost

it will probably handle for alittle while. just get it tuned good.

i mean like an ls at 300whp, will be reliable for roughly for 20k, then sometime it will break the ringlands. so yeah reliable is a loose term
